Our Story

Advanced Informational Mapping Systems Incorporated (AIMS Inc.) began with our future in mind. All across the world municipalities are struggling to understand their underground utility systems. With the help of our clients, we use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to digitally map and create a more effective and proactive work environment. At AIMS, we are making it our number one priority to not only assist in bringing your underground utilities to the surface but also build for a better future. We have seen, first hand, the benefits of GIS within cities and villages.

Conservation Foundation

"Nick at AIMS Inc. has graciously worked with us over the years to create trail maps for Dayton Bluffs Preserve visitors. More recently, Nick created the GIS framework we use to monitor land restoration efforts such as location of sensitive plant communities, exotic weed control, prescribed fire management, trail conditions, and more. In addition, assistance was given to locate and record plant survey transect pins, which required accurate and precise field data collection. We look forward to advancing our GIS capabilities with AIMS."

- R. Frigo, The Conservation Foundation

Our Service

Using extremely accurate GPS equipment, we locate, collect, and map your city's utilities. All horizontal data at the surface will be collected and displayed by their structure type. Line work will then be added to represent water mains, services, sewer lines, electrical lines, gas lines, etc. When our collection process is complete, our clients will be delivered an interactive, online web map of their city. All features can be selected on the map to display data regarding the line of structure.

When our setup period is complete, we can then manage all mapping. It is easy for things to get unorganized and messy. By allowing us to manage your data, you are guaranteed organized and effective maps for years to come.
